It was not replaced, but we added the functions. Later people will choose the options
Jakarta (Antara) – The Ministry of Housing and Settlement (PKP) states that the proposal of a subsidy house of 18 square meters is an extra option that does not replace the previous regulation.
“That will not be replaced, but we will add its functions. Later the people will choose the option,” said director -general of urban homes at the PKP ministerie Sri Haryati when he was on Wednesday after the advanced coordination meeting at the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Jakarta Ministry or Finance.
SRI explained that the proposal was aimed at responding to the needs of the community, in particular the younger generation, who wanted subsidized houses near the work location.
Together with the land price that is becoming increasingly expensive, the government makes a smaller house design schedule so that the price can still be reached by the community.
“The goal is that (subsidized houses) can get closer to urban areas or at a better price, so that certain desil people who have not thought they could have a house later,” Sri explained.
With the presence of different choices, people can choose subsidized houses according to their needs and skills.
Sri said, for example, people who already have children will probably take houses with a larger size.
Regarding those who are single, you can choose a smaller house with a relatively cheaper price.
According to SRI, the area that is the most important target of the construction of subsidized houses, metropolitan and agglomeration includes. In this context, areas outside of Jabodetakkk are also the scope of development goals.
This plan is still working on discussion. The PKP ministery is planning to invite various associations and experts, such as the Indonesian Architect Association (IAI), to perfect regulations.
Sri also said that developers and banks welcomed this initiative. They also actively offer technical input to the government, such as the width of the building.
On the same occasion, BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho ensured that subsidized home financing continued to use the Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP), with a scheme of 75 percent of the APBN and 25 percent of the banks.
Earlier reported, the government intends to reduce the territory and build subsidized houses, as stipulated in the draft decree of the Minister of PKP number/KPTS/M/2025.
For treadmill houses, the smallest land surface will be 25 square meters and the highest of 200 square meters.
In the meantime, the building area is at least 18 square meters and the most 36 square meters.
