He said that the team of the Directorate General of Maritime Resources and Fisheries Supervision KKP had carried out a field review in the Raja Ampat area to see the effects.
Aris said, however, that the impact of this mining activity time requires time and cannot be seen in the near future, especially when the weather is sunny.

In addition, Aris said, the islands in the Raja Ampat region are small and very small islands.
On the basis of the law number 27 years 2007 as amended by the 2014 number 1 Act with regard to the management of coastal areas and small islands, it states in Article 2.3 that mining activities are not -oritated activities.
According to him, this was given priority for activities other than mining.
Moreover, Article 35 prohibits mining activities on small islands, as a technical point of view results in environmental damage and offering social effects,
“There is already a decision by the Constitutional Court that it is not allowed. So I think that four permits have been withdrawn by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources at the moment,” Aris added.
