Jakarta (Antara) – Former governor of DKI Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok was again investigated by the police officer of the police (Bareskrim) with regard to the corruption case of country acquisition for flats (Rusun) in Cengkareng, West Jakarta.
“Additional BAP (minutes of research) last year on the land of Cengkareng,” said Ahok when he was confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday.
According to him, the witness could not bring Bap home. That is why Ahok was reluctant to announce the content of the investigation.
“The point is to help researchers not to be inferior to the suspect,” said the Governor of DKI Jakarta in 2014-2017.
The alleged case of corruption when purchasing land by the provincial government of DKI Jakarta was investigated on the basis of police report number LP/656/VI/2016/Bareskrim on 27 June 2016. The National Police is still digging and investigating the case.
The business with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Housing and Housing Building Project project in the tax year of 2015 would reportedly be bribery for government managers with a potential loss of state that reached RP649.89 billion.
In the case, the National Police had mentioned two suspects, namely former head of the Housing and Settlement Development division of the DKI Jakarta Housing and Building Office Sukmana and Rudy Hartono Iskandar as the private sector.
The suspect is suspected of being involved in alleged corruption in the land acquisition of 4.69 hectares in Cengkareng for the construction of towers by the DKI Jakarta Regional Government Housing and Building Department for the tax year 2015 when Ahok served as a governor.
Rudy Hartono Iskandar has previously submitted a pretial lawsuit to the West Jakarta District Court. On January 17, 2025, a single judge stated that Rudy’s lawsuit was unacceptable because it contained formal defects.
In the meantime, the head of the Corps Corruption Crimes (Kortastipidkor) of the National Police Inspector General is general. Cahyono Wibowo said that researchers developed an investigation after finding two new evidence that strengthen accusations of corruption and money laundering.
“We will continue to investigate this case with high transparency and accountability,” he said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta, Monday (1/27).
