Jakarta (Antara) – The Indonesian government has four Dutch women’s football athletes to strengthen the national team of Indonesian women.
The four athletes are Emily Julia Frederica Nahon, Felicia Victoria de Zeeuw, Iris Joska de Rouw and Isa Guusje Warps.
“This momentum is not only about changes in citizenship status, but also about great hope and ideals to build the progress of Indonesia,” said General Law Administration General General (Dirjen Ahu) of the Ministry of Law Widodo, in South Jakarta, Tuesday.
Widodo said that the four players had the opportunity to become of naturalized players after having gone through several considerations about the Executive and Commission XIII and X of the Indonesian parliament.
Some considerations, including the players, have Indonesian blood based on the origin and have a brilliant performance in the field of football, so it’s worth defending the national team of the country.

To note, Emily Julia Frederica Nahon has the Indonesian descent because her grandmother was born in Bogor, West Java. This central defender player has a career in the 2023/2024 season is promoted to the ADO HAGUE U-19 team (Level 1 Dutch) and often plays in the senior team.
Moreover, there is Felicia Victoria de Zeeuw who has Indonesian descent because her mother was born in Jakarta. Players with attacking midfielders are currently a career in the Senior Team of ADO den Hague.
Furthermore, there is a reliable goalkeeper Iris Joska the mourning that has blood of Dutch descent because he has born a grandmother in Lumajang, East Java. Now Iris has a career at the Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam.
The last time there were Isa Guusje Warps who had the Indonesian origin of the bloody grandmother. Jesus is currently playing in NAC Breda.
Widodo continued this naturalization was part of the government’s efforts to offer everyone the same opportunity to defend the home country.
With this effort, Widodo hopes that Indonesian women’s football will be more advanced and print more performance with the presence of these four new employees.
