Jakarta (Antara) – Minister of Village and Development of Was Spantaged Regions (Mendes PDT) Yandri Susanto said that so far about 90 percent of the villages in the country have held a special village consultation (Musdesus) to form the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopends).
“In terms of formation, yes, now the formation of God has the willing 90 percent that a special village consultation has carried out,” said Yandri when he met after attending the opening of the activity Share knowledge Villages with food and climate resistance in Jakarta, Tuesday evening.

Although it was not mentioned the specific number, with the total number of villages in Indonesia that reached 75,265 villages, it was estimated that the number of 90 percent of the villages that had held a special deliberation were around 67 thousand villages.
According to Yandri, East Indonesia is an area with the largest number of villages that has not yet held a special village consultation.

“Indeed, there are many obstacles in East Indonesia, especially in Papua. But as Central Indonesia, the West has almost 100 percent implemented a special village consultation to form a village cooperative or a special village consultation to form a village cooperative,” said Yandri.
After he had held a special village consultation, he continued, the next phase in the formation of the Red and White Village Cooperative was making a notary deed.
“The notary deed is also much completed. After the notary deed we will submit to the Minister of Law for the Legal Entity,” he said.
He also said that the government focused on the Red and White Village Cooperative Legal Entity that would be completed at the end of June.

“Our goal will also be completed at the end of June, God’s legal entities by the Minister of Law. Now our goal is being achieved, almost all of them perform special village considerations. There are only a few more villages that have not done that,” he said.
Yandri believes that the goals with regard to the formation of the red and white village cooperative can be achieved.
“God will be prepared, according to the target,” he said.
