Jakarta (Antara) – The Indonesian national team coach Patrick Kluivert emphasized that his team will continue to stare seriously at the last match of the third round of the World Cup qualifications of 2026 Group C Asia Zone against host Japan.
The results of the game that is played on Tuesday (10/6) in the Suita City Stadium, Osaka prefecture, has no effect on the journey of the two teams in the qualifications of the World Cup 2026. Japan has ensured that you are eligible for the final, while Indonesia has secured tickets for the fourth round.
“This is a serious match. We played away at the top of the group classification that had qualified for the World Cup. So we had to play with our own style,” Kluivert said by Audio recordings that reporters in Jakarta were received on Monday.
“Although this will be a difficult match, everyone knows that. But we have prepared ourselves and tried to give the best morning,” he said.

According to the Dutch coach, the match was not only about results, but he also became an important mental and tactical test for Indonesian players.

When asked about the possibility of players rotation or strategy experiment, Kluiderert hinted that there was a potential change, although it had not yet given any certainty about the composition of the core players.
“We will see tomorrow. Maybe there are changes. I can’t say how many players will be replaced or that they have to change. But good questions. Of course we learned the Japanese match against Australia,” he concluded.
