She has only one goal in sight: justice
Greta Thunberg is Many things. Some call her climate icon, others do a girl-hitler-not doing what you think of her, she is so incredibly fascinating. The Kontkind that was outside the Riksdag because of the climate, to make it a few years later to be removed by the police in Europe. Criticized because of their “aggressive methods” in the Palestinian issue and for neglecting the position they received after the “How Dare you” speech for the UN.
Now that the audience has started to realize that the “aggressive methods” of Thunberg may not have been that aggressive, but on the contrary, Greta Thunberg is already far away on the horizon. More specifically in the Mediterranean Sea, at the front of the bow on the sailboat Madleen to take her and eleven other activists against Gaza with emergency aid.
Together they want to create international awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and break the siege of Israel. One could lift fashion such as Thunberg and the others in the crew. But their action also feels completely WTF. It is dangerous, but “not even as dangerous as the silence of the whole world for the living genocide”, which Greta Thunberg noticed at a press conference before departure.
What fascinates With Thunberg that she never seemed particularly interested in her own position in public. From the 16-year-old girl in braids and yellow raincoat while politicians and rulers did something to be close by, to an adult woman with a compass who is so strong and so unconditional that you lose your chin. In between, she became more of a meme. There was no “generation of Greta”, most climate activists got older and started to eat meat. Moreover, it is easy to ridicule someone who knows so much for something. In recent years, Thunberg has emerged the most as an annoying fly that cannot be from the Chamber, regardless of how much the right and waving.
But Greta Thunberg has never been a fly, she is not a phenomenon or an excellent area for the adult world. She is rather our conscience, or at least a catalyst for the part of us who has been slowly stopped by being in such an oxygen drill audience.
It’s not the intention to contribute to the infantilization of Greta Thunberg, but it is not possible not think it over Astrid Lindgrens Reddots believe when she is on that boat with the wind in her hair and the Palestinian flag waved above. She lifts a horse and we just hole.
You see her angry, persistent look, she drives the stupid questions of the journalists and she cries with despair. Thunberg carries the emotions outside, certainly partly because of her autism. But without that she might have become a cut -down variant.
Greta Thunberg is probably not interested in both our gratitude and our desire to ask for forgiveness because they no longer look like her. She certainly slides in our debt and our desire to pick up our inner Greta a little more often. She is at sea and has one goal in sight: justice. On that photo there is no room for spectators.
